This summer of 2022 I studied the construction of bags in Florence Italy, the home of shoe and handbag design. I wanted to learn more about pattern drafting and structure along with the idea of sustainability using materials that would otherwise be thrown out by the Italian leather industry.

Beside that I love Italy and lived there in 2007 and work for the brand Bikkembergs.

LOTS 0 WASTE is my new brand that recycles materials like my old Japanese jeans and reclaimed leather to make the Broekzak bag.
